My opinion is that there are certain parts of the world that will never be Americanized or their cultures changed, for any reason or by any means.  And Afghanistan is one of those places!  The Russians proved this war is not winnable, and that there is no prize there for any alternate measures of ’success’.

It is one big poppy field and our American Men and Women in uniform deserve better than to be players in a War of Politics.  If the answer to some is the keep the enemy in Pakistan, so no more terrorist training can occur in Afghanistan, that is a fallacy. The world is full of holes for them to hide and conjure plans.  And Pakistan itself is still protecting many of our enemies and giving them safe haven. 

Read the news! Our own American Contractors in Afghanistan paid by Taxpayer funding are paying off the enemy Taliban for “protection”!  Maybe we need Elliot Ness as a Commander of this battlefield.

Only the real War is a financial one. We are slowly being bankrupt (not so slowly actually) as an American nation trying to chase shadows around the world and our own homeland is coming apart at the seams.  We are no longer a nation of infinite resources, China has our mortgage and one day soon it will be called due.
